Yorkshire trainer Bryan Smart today reported his two Stan James 2000 Guineas hopefuls Sir Xaar and Misu Bond to be in great shape and on course for the Classic on Newmarket's NatWest Rowley Mile on Saturday, May 6.

Leading over a furlong out, the 13-2 shot bounded up the hill to take the colts' Classic over the Rowley Mile from two 100-1 shots, Rebel Rebel and Kandidate.

Haafhd gave trainer Barry Hills and his jockey-son Richard a convincing victory in the UltimateBet.com 2000 Guineas at Newmarket. Haafhd hit the front two furlongs out and the 11-2 shot galloped on strongly to beat Snow Ridge (8-1) by a length and three-quarters, with Azamour (25-1) a further length away in third.

Attraction holds off the late rattle of Sundrop to win the 1,000 Guineas. Hathrah fills third behind the Mark Johnston-trained winner, ridden by Kevin Darley.
